Baked all the things and then read a piece on the death of the American dream. Can’t help but think it articulates every reason I’ve left the high salary and security of the corporate world to be in love with my life. I also replayed the basis for four of the five arguments Matt and I had, as they were rooted in this exact topic.

Just learned that Jewel is releasing a new album soon. Bluesy jazzy style. She teased us with a song from it on Instagram. I’ve always been shameless in my love for her, but now I may actually propose. I’ll make her a ring out of guitar strings, and we’ll live happily ever after.

12:22pm
I finish the IJP entry early today. Tell the story of a humorous event from the point of an inanimate object. My sister’s funeral stilettos are the star characters in this story of my ______ timed humor. You can decide if whether “well” or “inappropriately” fits better in that blank. Just know that your decision defines you in my eyes. The story is funny. The writing is shit. The exercise is done. I’m fine with all of that. To get to the good shit, there’s always a little bullshit, right? That’s why we keep practicing.

Driving to meet Wendy for a social distancing HIIT workout, a tiny yorkie is out taking himself for a walk. I stop and he bounds toward me. I’m partial to big dogs, but he’s smiley and can fit in my pocket, so I love him. I don’t have time to find his human just yet, so he is officially on an adventure for the next ninety minutes.

3:21pm
The fluffnugget pocket dog and I head to the Bethany Animal Shelter, where they will reunite him with his human. I’ll miss him, but probably only for a few minutes. He is a yorkie, after all.

Just published my first piece on Medium. It is both more time consuming and more exciting than I’d anticipated, though 60 minutes probably could’ve been 2 had I found the import button. Such is life as an Adi, though.
