quarantined-ish day 16
Quarantined-Ish Day Sixteen
Thursday April 2, 2020 - OKC, OK
4:14am
Baking for Elena again. This is three days in a row of having to be in an actual building at an actual time with an actual purpose that benefits actual people. I’m so happy right now. Never mind that I dropped a bowl of batter on the floor and touched a hot cookie sheet with no mitts.
11:38am
Just spent the last three hours writing and sifting through old photos. On the run last weekend, I noted this idea that the best measurement of time is in memories. I believe that to be true. Time to go make more in the Wichitas.
8:12pm
Mount Scott climbing, bushwacking, trail adventuring through the Wichitas, and talking to the turkeys (though I sometimes sounded like a yodeling turkey who jumped the vocal register and missed) today. Me. Wendy. Elena. Physically, we kept a distance, but our laughter felt like an inseverable connection. It was constant and kindred and needed. This is my family. Goodnight, loves.
