quarantined-ish day 19

Quarantined-ish Day 19
Sunday, April 5, 2020 - OKC, OK

5:08am
Immediately start watching YTT videos before I have to be on Zoom. All I wanna do is zoom-a-zoom zoom zoom. Just kidding. But this one has replaced the Humpty Dance on FM Radio Station A.D.I., so I’ll take it.

9:45am
Zoom. YTT. Earned 40 hours of CEUs and a certificate in a modality I have no interest teaching. I’m winning Sunday morning.

11:30am
She ends the lecture four hours early and grants us access to the online portal. I go to Bluff first. I’m actually winning Sunday morning.

3:15pm
I read my very first Tom Junod article about abortion. I love it. The structure, his absolute mastery of the English language, his rhythm. I’m happy to know about him. And now I must do homework. I love that I’m 44 years old and still get to do homework.

8:00pm
Second Tom Junod article. Pure brilliance AND he’s figured out commas. The Falling Man. Wow. His ability to put you smack in the middle of the story without you even realizing it is a true gift. I can see why Contagion likes him, and I can see how Tom informs his writing style. I basically spend the next hour raving about him (Tom) to Contagion and both of them to my new BF (not my term, but it’s funny in context that isn’t this) in Portland. Also, we discuss making t-shirts. Him as a joke. I’m serious.
